I provide a tent and canvas repair service and I can also make one-off items in canvas such as chair covers, bags, covers and some soft furnishing such as curtain and seat covers.

It comes from a ship standing 'a luff' to keep clear of an unsafe shore - essentially to keep a safe distance.
